Offline and Online Tests for Stress Management

By Jamie Sue Tan

Work is often considered a magnet for stress. Employees and employers alike just find themselves stressed without even determining the cause or the trigger of their attack. Stress triggers in work are almost invisible to almost all employees.

Stress in the workplace may develop without knowledge of the person involved. The employee may not recognize the symptoms that they are already getting stressed out. Continuing the same stressful routine several days a week can cause the body to just snap. For this reason, different methods are offered to all employed on how to determine their stress. One of these is doing a stress management test.

The stress test is an examination that determines the cause of stress. Experts have formulated a detailed set of questions that would assess and determine the triggers of stress for employees. The set of questions may be related to the willingness of going to work, ability and attitudes shown upon working over the task assigned, and the relationship established with fellow co workers and the company. Most times, the compensation and rewards offered by the company is included as well.

Some stress management tests are written and taken in presence of the doctor. There are people, however, that wish not to do it in front of the doctor because theyre ashamed of something, or because they do not have the time to visit one. For this reason, stress tests can be taken online.

Online stress tests do not differ much in terms of content. The difference is it can be accessed via the internet at home. This gives people the advantage of maintaining anonymity. Results are also immediate. Still, it is highly recommended that the test be taken manually. The doctor can give out the results and can provide additional advice at the same time.
