However, The Copeland Kenneth Ministry had faced several financial anomalies. In 2006, their business partners accused them of leaving their partnership with thousands of dollars of debt. He also had properties that were in question by the Senate in 2007 and 2008. According to Copeland, his $20 million jet was used solely for ministry purposes. Unfortunately, the media and the Senate doubted his statement.

As a guidelines stated in IRS, it indicates that pastors should receive reasonable compensation and their earnings should not be used for their personal benefit. The Copeland's always insist that they follow the law about taxes. But their wealthy lifestyle is very contrary to what they teach about Christian living which is simplicity. 2 years ago, a report by News8 showed a video exposing the said greediness of the televangelist.

In addition to his negative financial stature, the Kenneth Copeland Ministry instructions were said to be a mixed breed of Christianity and have a touch of partly Greek and Oriental Philosophy. Some of Copeland's alleged heresies or false doctrines were (1) Adam and Jesus are physically identical. (2) God is both masculine and feminine. (3) God is forgetful. (4) Jesus is an emaciated spirit like a worm and many more. He also had false prophesies like he predicted that in the next few months, a billion Muslims will have salvation. Not only that, he said to have corrupted several verses from the Scriptures with his own interpretation.

As Matthew 5:3 implies, it is understandable for every human being to nourish his or her spirituality. However, you should also ask for God's wisdom in choosing your religion. As Luke 6:43, 44 say, you will know the fruit from its tree. It is very unlikely to expect that a fine fruitage will come from a corrupt religious leader. It is important to understand deeply especially the history of a denomination you would want to get involved with.
