3 Other Reasons Why You Should Manage Your Anger

By Broyde McDonald

You always hear about being angry can harm you. However, your anger also affects the people who are around you as well.

How your anger hurts the ones that are around you

They need to keep their distance from you...

There are people who care a lot about you. That is at least most of you.

The problem is there are people who love you and really would like your company. These are the ones who see you as a special person. But they stay away so that they can protect themselves from you. They know that you are capable of hurting them, or you might just be anti social. So for their emotional health and personal safety, they stay away from you.

When you are mad, the people who care about you can sometimes feel as if they are dead inside.

When you are angry, you make other people angry

Another reason why smart people would want to stay away from you when you are angry is because your anger would without a question make them angry too.

Just like happiness, sadness, and disappointment, anger is just an emotion. And because it is just an emotion, it is easily transferred from one person to another. That is just the way that emotions work, emotions are contagious.

This means that if I know you are angry, and I go around you for just five minutes, I run the risk of having my entire day messed up. How smart a person am I to go where you are, knowing what is likely to happen?

Angry people can mess up a child for life

You may have also seen that children learn angry behaviors in a very short space of time.

When your child looks at you and learns to act angry like you do, you have without question made his life more complicated. The reason why is because if he does not unlearn this awkward behavior he will only learn how his destructive behavior can be made worse.

What you will get is a small person who when an adult, will probably get every problem that people with uncontrolled anger experience. There will be a difference though it is that his difficulties are likely to happen while he is younger. This means that his anger will affect him more during his adult life than it did for the person who he learned his behaviors from.

Stop it don't let it happen anymore. Control your anger. The anger management classes you get here will see you over the hard parts of getting your anger under control.
