Living a good life is something that is very subjective. What one sees to be a good life may seem to be repulsive to another. However, many of us agree is that a good life is not based on material possessions alone. It's based on how much joy you have.

Step 1: Asses your situation Normally assessing whether you are living a good live can be done at any time of the year. What has triggered you to start think of a good life? Is it something that you have been thinking about for a long time and it is only that you have never found answers.

Step 2: Believe in possibilities You may have tried severally to change your life so as to live a good life. Do not reach a point where you start thinking that the life you are currently living is of no use at all.

Step 3: Resolve to change You do not need to wait for the New Year to set in for you to make new resolutions. Making the resolve to change is extremely important since the battle begins here - in the mind.

Step 4: Make a list of the important things in life Make a list of all the things that you really believe comprise of living a good life. This is an extremely important step because it will play a rather big role in determining the extent to which you will focus on the important things in your life.

Step 5: Think long-term Ask yourself: what are some of the things that you would want to be proud of when you are on your deathbed. What are you willing to live for? If it is the amount of money that you have made, well that's good. Write it. This will help create a clear focus in your mind on what is important in life and what is not.

Step 6: Write the action plan After you have written down the important things in life, and thought long-term, the next task is to write down how you will achieve your dreams. This is like writing your vision and going for it. This will require that you write down the exact steps that you will take to achieve your goals.

Step 7: Try to involve your family One of the most important things that you need to realize is that when you are in a hard sport, the people who suffer most are the members of your family. Therefore, when you are planning to live a good life, it is important that you consult them about the plans that you might be having.

Step 8: Make sure that you stick to your plan After outlining the action plan, the next important thing is to make sure that you completely stick your plan. This is because doing this will lead you to do the job the way that you have always wanted it to be done. This is normally the biggest challenge of all when it comes to deciding to live a good life and changing the way we live. The best way to achieve your goal is to make sure that you pray to God who will help you achieve your goals and to get somehow to walk with you as you try top change your lifestyle.

Tips * One of the best ways to keep on track about your goal of living a good life is to make sure that you have regular reviews about the progress that you are making in fulfilling your goal.

* When you slip into a bad habit, check reason for the same and then correct it

Warning * Too much ambition may discourage you, especially when you fail to achieve what you want or are looking for.
